Shameless Plug - Melissa at Delta Airlines

Unfortunately, Bub and I didn't get her last name, but if you ever get this reservations agent on the phone, immediately endeavor to book a flight to as far away from home as you can possibly get and she'll find a way to do it for the amount of money you currently have in your wallet (I exaggerate, but only slightly).

Bub and I decided to go to St. Petersburg for White Nights this June and we planned to hit up Moscow as well. Bub also happens to know, awesome bfriend that he is, if a genie popped out of a bottle and granted me one wish, I'd be off to Paris in a flash (cliched, but no less true). Sooo, Bub and I get on the phone with Melissa from Delta to see if there's a way to get to Mother Russia on Skymiles (or rather, Bub did and then conferenced-called me in later when she had worked her magic).

The itinerary? NYC to Moscow, Moscow to Paris, Paris to Moscow, two day layover in Paris, back to NYC, and then I get one last flight to DC. Paris was Bub's
little surprise for me - although comments about his altruistic
nature should include the qualifier that while he doesn't love the French, he loves L'as du Fallafel.

The cost? 50,000 miles. Five flights, taking us approximately 4000 miles across the globe and back and giving us a neat little stay in Paris. This woman is a genius.
