forgot to mention this: last time I was home she asked me to download the following songs to her ipod:
-Mary J Blige, Family Affair
-Amy Winehouse, Back to Black
-Amy Winehouse, Rehab (wonder who played her these??)
-Babtunde Olatunji, Akiwowo
-Everything But the Girl, Future of the Future (she LOVES Ben Watt's Lazy Dog 1 and 2 and was thrilled to hear there is a lot more Watt out there, in the form of EBTG. I could make some pun about higher wattage, but that would be awful, wouldn't it? Good thing I didn't)
-Sergio Mendes, Magalehna
Then we had a lot of fun sitting around the kitchen table going through my brother's ipod, which

resembles the playlist of 14-year-old fat girl living in 1995 (to which my bro shrugs and goes, "tell me you don't still like Blind Melon" - the best thing about my brother is he could really give a crap what you think). Oh, and my cousin Greg (now my adopted brother) made my mom listen to Warren G's Regulators and we all spoke along with the opening lines. Caveat on bro's ipod: the Dave Matthews and the Bob Marley, he is on top of those. You can never have too many versions of
#41 in our family's book.
