Personally, my biased opinion is that the lack of a central color scheme is really working in this space; however, I can excuse a lot of things away because I know I bought a lot of this stuff on sale, so it'd better work and, hey, when life gives you red and blue rugs, that's what covers your floors. I am perfectly willing to take criticism on these points...not that I'm going to re-decorate in the next five years or so.
